Cornwall, my home, is an inspiration and ever present in my work.

It is a place of contrasts; most of the year an empty place of solitude and natural beauty and then a heavily populated tourist destination for a few weeks a year.Having grown up in the small village of Mount Hawke, the Cornish coastline and its rural havens have shaped me and my artistic output.I wish to convey feelings of both attachment, alienation and a sense of place. This comes from a personal place but intends to speak to a wider audience.

My work is very much process driven.I work in different mediums, exploring the visceral act of mark making and experimenting with how materials and process can be utilised to obtain different results.
