Drawing and Print

Class of 2018

Helen Thielker

Helen’s work is a reflection on a moment in time. She revisits the same images again and again, experiencing the beauty in that snapshot of time and creating a record of something beautiful that may normally have gone unnoticed or forgotten.

Her work is a mixture of finger painting and line drawing. Mixing media and using the process of experimentation and accidental mark making as a way of working.

Working into and back into the pieces, removing and adding, layering and changing. Working in series and repetitions, Helen produces work that tells a story and captures a moment in time that may have otherwise been forgotten. All of which are the memories and experiences that make up who we are and that make our lives beautiful and exciting.
