Charlotte Robeson’s work focuses on colour and natural constructs. Firstly, inspired on recording nature’s form and its characteristics in different lighting. This work then developed into natures characteristics in contrast with manmade constructs and the relationship between those when next to each other. Previous subject matters explored; memory and space, architecture in landscape and life drawing models. She is drawn to colour and the construction of colour in landscape. Most observations are based on British landscapes. After university, she wants to work on alternative landscapes in Europe and increase working in the air. Inspired by Monet, Peter Doig, and David Hockney, Charlotte works in print, acrylic on paper and canvas, and also mixed media.
